Sarah Moule, a fabulous but not-well-known-enough jazz singer, brings her unique talent to the unlikely surrounding of Clayhidon village hall on March 15. She is touring her distinctive narrative show Femme Fatales.
‘Compelling’ , ’empowering’ and ‘highly original’ was the audience reaction to this new show. Femmes Fatales celebrates this iconic figure in all her feisty glory as heroine, heartbreaker, rule-breaker and role model and was devised with the great American lyricist Fran Landesman who died in July 2011.
The show examines an archetype that has existed throughout history from Eve and Cleopatra to Mata Hari and Film Noir, using songs to probe what might lie beneath the surface. In a recent edition of Desert Island Discs, guest Julie Burchill chose Moule’s song Lazy Kind of Love as one of her eight discs.
