A meeting is taking place next month in an effort to revive the town’s annual carnival.
A post on Wellington Carnival’s Facebook page says they are looking forward to bringing back the procession in 2022.
“If there is anyone who has missed the Carnival and would like to see it revived, please come along to the Cottage Inn on Tuesday, December 7th at 7.30pm.
“We will also be discussing the annual Street Fair which takes place the first Sunday in June every year.”
Wellington Carnival is part of the South Somerset Federation which includes Wellington, Illminster, Chard and Taunton.
It traditionally takes place on the last Saturday of September but was cancelled in both 2020 and 2021.
