First the good news. One more empty High St shop may have a tenant soon. Stead & Simpson’s shop in the centre of Wellington is the subject of a new planning application.
Now the bad news – the applicants want permission for change of use from retail to use it for either a café or fast food. With a new takeaway about to open on North Street, plus six food & drink outlets on South St can anyone seriously believe that Wellington needs another eating house?
