Motorcycle racer Matt Pearce is looking for local businesses to support his 2014 campaign in the ThundersportGB Formula 600 championships.
Wellington-based Matt will be riding his Kawasaki ZX6 in televised races at race-tracks such as Brands Hatch and Cadwell Park. He finished last season in sixth place in this highly competitive division.
“I started my first full racing season in 2010 on a 10-year-old bike and finished third and fourth in two separate championships,” said Matt. “We moved on to a 2004 Suzuki GSXR600 but found it was just not competitive at the level where I was hoping to race.
“At the beginning of 2013 I took ownership of a fully race-prepared and tuned Kawasaki ZX6 and moved into the fiercely competitive Thundersport GB Series.”
“It was a huge step up from the Suzuki but I was thrilled to be able to finish sixthoverall. We made massive gains in 2013 and so 2014 is really shaping up to be a great season.”
