Work to make Green Corridor fully accessible

The main route through our town’s Green Corridor is due to be made completely accessible next week with the installation of a ramp on the bridge and the removal of the kissing gate near Rockwell Green Primary School.

Wellington Town Council says: “This work is being undertaken by MJ Fletcher and has been paid for by Somerset Council, as they maintain this Public Right of Way, at our request.

“By adding a ramp and removing the kissing gate, wheelchair users will be able to access this route and allow them to travel between Rockwell Green and the town centre on a more pleasant, traffic-free path.

“These changes will also make the route easier to use for pushchairs.

“We look forward to seeing the work completed and seeing more people able to utilise this area!”

Please note that the bridge will be inaccessible while the works are in progress.
