Local music project Together in Tone is staging a free and informal afternoon of communal singing next month.
Designed to lift your wellbeing, meet new people and have fun, it will take place in the Great Hall at Wellington School on Sunday, September 20th, from 1pm.
Together in Tone is a community-led project which uses music to reduce isolation, strengthen connections and improve wellbeing for people of all ages and backgrounds.
It is co-ordinated by Caz Besterman (above right), an experienced community music practitioner and educator with a passion for using music to bring people together.
She says: “The afternoon is open to singers of all abilities, including complete beginners.
“Enjoy a wonderful mix of songs, from classical favourites to modern music, with refreshments provided throughout the afternoon.
“There’s no need to read music or have any previous singing experience – just bring yourself and your enthusiasm!
“The day will finish with a relaxed short performance at 6pm.
