The ancient well at Rockwell Green will be the charming setting for an hour of Christmas music this Thursday.
There’s an open invitation for everyone to gather at The Well to sing together – and then enjoy mince pies and coffee at Rockwell Green War Memorial Club.
The Well is behind the Villa Verde restaurant and can also be accessed off Oaken Ground.
It is believed to have once been at the centre of the village with the water possibly used for baptisms as well as for drinking.
Donations are invited at Thursday’s event and will go to St Margaret’s Hospice Care.
