Alison Luisi, a Wellington woman who only began painting this year, has her pictures in a public exhibition for the first time this week. The show is at Queen’s College, Taunton.
“I came to work as a technician in the school’s Art Department four years ago and had never really done any painting myself. The enthusiasm of my colleagues inspired me to produce some work that I feel happy to show in public” said Alison.
“I have been exhibiting my own work throughout the south west for many years, but it is a real pleasure to be able to support this charity and highlight my colleagues’ talents”, said Head of Art Claire Western. In addition, the work of several other artists with connections to the Art department will be on show.
The work is highly diverse, ranging from experimental textiles to south west seascapes.
The exhibitionpreview is from 6.00pm on Friday 20th March in the Performing Arts Centre at Queen’s College, Trull Road, Taunton. The exhibition will be open from 10.00am until 5.00pm on Saturday 21st March and from 10.00am until 4.00pm on Sunday 22nd and Monday 23rd March.
