Pupils and staff at West Buckland Primary School enjoyed a vibrant and energetic afternoon today (Friday) as the school hosted its much-anticipated Colour Run fundraiser.
The event saw children walking, running and even dancing around the track while being showered in clouds of brightly coloured powder, creating a joyful and memorable spectacle.
Laughter, teamwork and community spirit were at the heart of the afternoon which was enjoyed by everyone.
Outgoing Headteacher Cameron Mann placed on record his thanks to the incredible support from families and the wider school community through sponsorship which has already raised over £1,300 for the school’s Parent Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA).
“These vital funds will go towards supporting enrichment opportunities, resources and experiences for the children.
He also thanked the PTFA for organising and resourcing such a memorable experience as well as their help throwing paint and giving out T-shirts and medals on the day.
Staff praised the enthusiasm and positivity shown by all involved.
“It was wonderful to see the whole school community come together in such a colourful and uplifting way,” said one. “The children had an unforgettable time, and we are so grateful for the generosity shown.”
Mr Mann added: “With bright smiles and even brighter t-shirts, skin and even hair, the Colour Run was a shining example of what can be achieved when a school community comes together – a great end to the week and a fantastic Summer Term memory.”
