Dr John Cole, a former Wellington GP and hugely energetic promoter of music in Somerset, is to be remembered at a memorial concert on Sunday at St Mary Magdalene Church, Taunton.
The concert is in memory of Dr Cole, the founder and conductor of OrchestraWest, who died earlier this year having made a massive, life-long contribution to music in the county.
OrchestraWest’s musicians are playing without a fee as a tribute to John and to raise funds for a series of orchestral concerts in Taunton featuring world-class and up-and-coming soloists.
