Wellington Town Council has announced the winners and highly commended plots in its annual Allotment Competition.
The results are as follows:
Best cultivated: Winner – Leslie Farthing, Plot 82; highly commended – Michelle Beacon, Plot 12.
Best Managed: Winner – Louise Winborn, Plot 76; highly commended – Adrian Welland Plot 100.
Best ecological: Winner – David Capell, Plot 17.
Best newcomer: Winner – Lee Herd-Derby, Plot 55.
The council says: “Our plot holders work really hard to grow fruit and veg and keep their plots looking tidy.
“If you think you are ready to take on an allotment, contact us to request an application form – email info@wellingtontowncouncil.co.uk.”
