Three young cricketers from Wellington School have been selected for the Somerset County U12 squad.
Jack Derrick and Harry Nuttall-Owen attended two county trial assessment events at the Somerset Cricket Excellence Centre in the Spring along with Joe Horne, who is already part of the Somerset set-up. Following this all three were selected to participate in matches during May half-term.
All three boys put in strong performances in two assessment matches with Jack Derrick scoring a superb 72 in one of the fixtures. After the matches all the players were provided with valuable written feedback on their performances by Somerset coaches.
