Wellington Cricket Club were well represented at the Somerset League’s Dinner and Presentation Event at Somerset CCC, writes David Derrick.
The evening saw 2nd XI wicketkeeper/batter Aks Latifi was presented with the Division One Players’ Player of the Year Award.
Aks had a stellar 2026 season in which he scored 593 league runs as an opener and effected 14 dismissals as wicketkeeper.
Although the team itself had a tough campaign, Aks had a supreme time in both disciplines and totally deserved his success.
