This weekend plays host to a huge range of events happening around Wellington and surrounding areas. Tomorrow sees the return of the acclaimed Wellington food town festival with a wide range of stalls selling local produce and an open-air, open mic performance hosted by Rule 7. Following the fantastic success of previous events, which have attracted thousands of visitors, this year’s event will again be staged in Wellington High Street, with the added bonus of South Street being closed to traffic for the first time. The Festival will be open to the public from 10am to 4pm.
Milverton Mini Festival takes place on Saturday afternoon and evening with many local bands and arty stalls; a great day with something for all the family, doors open at 2pm. If one street market is just not enough for you, be sure to check out Wiveliscombe’s annual street fair on Sunday as part of the 10 Parishes festival celebration. And don’t forget, if you’re one of the lucky ticket holders of Wellington Arts Centre’s production of “Calender Girls” be sure to enjoy yourself at what has been described as a”..delightful!” performance at various times over this coming weekend.
