If you’ve driven from J26 to Wellington recently it would be difficult not spot a new access road to Foxmoor Business Park about to be completed.. The road will link the business park to the spur road beyween the M5 and the A38.. Earth-movers are currently clearing the last section of the project, after which it will be surfaced. The current access route through Chelston will close in March.
Foxmoor is just one of three business parks on the east side Wellington, all of them taking advantage of close proximity to the M5 along the A38. Most of the units on Foxmoor are let and the park is thriving. Individual units in the complex offer work and storage space for independent traders both inside and on hard-standing areas. One of them – Prolift Access whose Head Office is situated on the site – provides a spectacular advert visible from a distance in its display of aerial and scissors lifts.
In November the company was runner-up as Small Business of the Year in the Western Morning News Awards held in Exeter. The same month it won the New to Somerset Awardat the Somerset Business Awards held at Somerset County Cricket Ground. In accepting the award Managing Director, Andy Pearson, said, “Our aim was to bring the heart back to our business and employment back to the area. We look forward to a bright future in Somerset.”
The new access road will provide this company and others on the business park with easier trading routes and enhanced opportunities, which is good news for local employment.
