The people of Ukraine and Moldova again face a grim winter but, thanks to the people of Wellington and the surrounding area, things will be lightened as they open a box of Christmas gifts.
The annual Shoebox Appeal organised by Christian Response to Eastern Europe (cr2ee) has been well supported by local people and organisations over a number of years, bringing joy to both children and adults.
Due to the availability of a lorry being in the UK and the amount of paperwork required by Customs, the charity have had to bring forward the date of accepting Christmas gift boxes for Moldova.
If you are taking part in this year’s appeal all boxes now need to be at 4 South View Hemyock EX15 3SQ by Wednesday, November 13th.
The charity thanks those who filled boxes for Ukraine – these have arrived safely in the country.
