Local music-makers John Walker and The Divas will be returning to Wellington Arts Centre this Saturday to raise funds for Cancer Research UK – and to support one Diva in particular.

The concerts have a special significance as Diva, Charlie Hughes, is running the Manchester Marathon on Sunday, April 19th, to raise funds for the charity.
John Walker said: “Our amazing Charlie is once again running for all of us who have lost our loved ones to cancer – and this is our contribution to a cause that is dear to all our hearts.”
“Charlie has been training hard every day to repeat her amazing efforts in the London Marathon in 2024 when she raised money for Pancreatic Cancer.”
He added: “The Divas are grateful to Wellington Arts Centre for supporting all our charity fund-raising events.”
The Divas concerts are at 2.30pm and 7.30pm. Entry is free with donations to Cancer Research UK at the door.
