Singing For Fun – the community dementia-friendly singing group run by Wellington-based charity Reminiscence Learning – has received a donation of £75 from the Inner Wheel Club of Sedgemoor.
The amount has been specifically donated towards music stand banners for the group’s busy and varied live performance schedule.
Coming up is Taunton Flower Show on Friday, August 2nd, where group director Shane Mace is hoping to unveil the banners for the first time.
Dot Christian presented the cheque to Reminiscence Learning on behalf of Inner Wheel of Sedgemoor, saying: “You delighted us all last Christmas with your choice of songs/hymns and music.
“The enthusiasm shone through, and we could tell how much the singers were enjoying themselves too. This is a small token from our fundraising year, enabling you to ‘advertise’ who you are.”
Reminiscence Learning has expressed “sincere and heartfelt” thanks for the donation.
