Wellington Carnival Committee are holding their next big fundraiser this Friday.
Their Bumper Christmas Bingo takes place at the Rugby Club with doors open from 6pm and eyes down at 7pm (full details below).
The organising committee are also preparing for their AGM, also at the Rugby Club, on Monday, December 15th (7.30pm).
Chairman Paul Goodyer said: “We have had another very successful year and proudly staged one of the year’s biggest events in our town, thanks to a small and very enthusiastic committee.”
But he added: “Unfortunately, a few of our members are stepping down this year, due to personal circumstances, and we are appealing to our community to come along and join us to ensure we keep the Carnival tradition alive in Wellington.
“Without more volunteers we may be unable to continue.
“There are so many ways you can help and get involved – fundraising, collecting, marshalling to name a few.
“Even if you only have limited time to spare or are involved in another group, there is something for everyone. It’s very rewarding, social and great for our community.
“We look forward to meeting you.”
