The Wellington School community has delivered more than 50 Christmas hampers to the Best Before Food Store, which based at Rockwell Green.
The Best Before Food Store supports 35 families every week, offering affordable food, essential items and a warm community space.
A school spokesperson said: “Thanks to the kindness of our community, every family will receive a festive hamper, with extra donations allowing support to reach even more families this year.
“It has now become an annual event of utterly generous proportions!
“This year, in addition to the hampers, we received an extra surprise of 26 bags of goodies provided by the pupils’ families in the Junior School.
“The Food Store members have previously expressed how amazed and grateful they are for the wonderful support they receive through all the generous donations.
“This is truly a great example of community cohesion and partnership.”
