There was an unusual mode of transport for Santa as he arrived at Rumwell Farm Shop on Sunday
Accompanied by a pair of elves, he was on board a John Deere tractor before taking up residence in his grotto at the shop off the A38 between Wellington and Taunton.
Anne Mitchell, shop partner, said: “Father Christmas gave his reindeer a well-deserved rest ahead of Christmas Eve, choosing instead to make his arrival aboard a modern tractor.
“Once he’d made this grand entrance Father Christmas mingled with the crowds and chatted to children.
“He was warmly welcomed by all the families who gathered to share in the festive occasion with us.
“Santa is now comfortably settled in his cosy cabin and there is still some availability for children to come and meet him.”
Tickets cost £15.50 per child and can be purchased at www.rumwellfarmshop.com/father-christmas-cosy-cabin/ and booking is essential.
Father Christmas is at Rumwell Farm Shop again this Saturday (9am-5pm) and Sunday (9am-4pm).
