Galentine’s triumph for Women in Business

Wellington Women Business had another wonderful evening in the Kings Arms Community Hub on Tuesday.

Here is the thriving group’s full report followed by details of their March event and a picture gallery …

February’s WWIB Galentine’s event saw over 40 entrepreneurial women gather for an evening filled with fizz, connection and powerful learning.

Guests arrived to a glass of Pink Fizzy Love and the warm, welcoming atmosphere for which WWIB is known.

VIP attendees were treated to a surprise gift from founders Maz and Zoe, adding an extra sprinkle of magic to an already special Galentine’s night.

The focus of the evening was marketing, led by Lona Jones of Ember & Ivy Marketing.

Her two-part, interactive workshop helped business owners step away from trends and tactics and, instead, get clear on what they stand for, who they serve and the message for which they want to be known.

The room buzzed with shared experiences, note-taking, discussion and those all-important light-bulb moments — all within the safe, supportive space which makes WWIB events so special.

During the break, newcomer Heidi said: “I’ve been wanting to come for a while but was nervous as I didn’t know what to expect.”

After a quick chat and a chance to take it all in, she confirmed there was nothing scary at all — and certainly nothing to be nervous about.

By the end of the evening, she was happily making connections, putting names to faces in the local business world and had already booked herself on to the March meeting.

After the VIP mystery gift reveal, everyone returned energised for the final session, ready to make small, positive, meaningful changes within their businesses.

Founders Maz and Zoe said after the event: “WWIB has been lovingly built over the past three years through dedication, consistency and a genuine belief in community.

“That steady, organic growth is what makes this space truly unique — and something we’re very proud of.”

Another WWIB evening. Another SOLD OUT success.
