Wellington Winter Pool League has started as a united division and Getting Cider are the early leaders.
The league will run for longer than previously to allow time for extra competitions.
There were two local derbies at RGWMC with Getting Cider going straight to the top of the division with a 14-1 win against Two Twos, and Edds Gone beating Rows Rebels 10-5 with Edd Williams potting a total clearance in the last frame.
Fran Radford, Liam Deville, Jon Wright and Michelle Grundy won all their games to beat The Rookies 13-2 while the same score went to Mylows Minions with Shane Deheaume, Alvin Jones and Clive Ashford-Key winning their games to beat Old Blues.
Changing Lanes had a home derby with Mike Lane and Mark Kerslake knocking in hat-tricks to beat Pocket Rockets 11-4.
SS Squad took a 9-6 win with Steve Smith winning all his games to beat Legends.
Pot Blacks took their match to a final frame decider with Andy Bowrah and Matt Rowsell winning all their games to secure an 8-7 win against Balls in Hand.
