Wellington RFC Chiefs are playing at home today (Saturday) but Wellington AFC have suffered another cancellation.
The Chiefs play their first game of 2026 and are still looking for their first win of the season.
They entertain local rivals Cullompton at the Athletic Ground in Tribute South West Regional Two, ko 2.30pm (squad details below).
There’s all to play for as the visitors are only one place – but 11 points – ahead of Wellington in the table.
The club will also be welcoming some special guests as they hold their annual Ladies’ Day with a buffet lunch ahead of the game.
The 2nd XV are away to Wells but there’s no game this weekend for the Vixens.
In football, the Tangerines were due to have a big game at the Carly Press Ground – hosting Cheddar in the quarter-finals of the Les Phillips Cup.
However, the pitch failed a 10am inspection and so the match has been postponed.
Ironically, the quarter-final tie meant the Reserves’ scheduled home game against Ottery St Mary today is being rearranged.
Meanwhile, the A team are away to Bridgwater Grasshoppers this afternoon while, tomorrow (Sunday) the Wildcats Ladies are away to Cheddar.
