Legion’s thanks for ‘amazing’ poppy displays

Wellington Royal British Legion have praised the town’s poppy displays.

Members of the Monumental Women of Wellington spent yesterday (Monday) morning putting up hundreds of crocheted and knitted poppies across the town centre.

The Legion held a photo shoot today in front of the poppy cascade at the Conservative Club in High Street.

Branch secretary Scott Godwin said: “We’d like to thank the ladies so much for their hard work.

“The displays look amazing and they should be very proud of their efforts.”
