Traditional tales came to life at Sampford Arundel primary school as children and staff all dressed as a storybook character for the day. Puss in Boots, The Three Little Pigs and Robin Hood were all present along with several Red Riding Hoods a couple of grannies and enough wolves to make a small pack.
The day was just one part of an action packed fortnight including visits from local storyteller, Geoff Fox, and a production of the Tin Soldier by the Storybox Theatre Company.
Head teacher Eddie East was delighted by the children’s enthusiasm. “We want to encourage children to write creatively and the best way to do that is to engage them with stimulating experiences.”
The photographs show a gathering of children and staff in costume and Georgiana and Jacob as Cinderella and Prince Charming.
