North Street reopens ahead of schedule

North Street is open to traffic again, having been closed since just after Easter.

It was originally expected the busy road would be shut until Friday for sewer repairs.

But a Wessex Water spokesperson told Around Wellington this afternoon (Tuesday): “Repairs were completed ahead of schedule and we cleared the site around 1.45pm today.”
