Wellington Operatic Society are in the last few days of rehearsal for their new show My Sister’s Mixtape which opens at The Arts Centre on Wednesday, 11th November.
The show promises to both recover a list of fine, memorable songs from across the ages and allow audiences to enjoy them once again in the company of this group of experienced and accomplished performers.
Remember jukeboxes? In this show the discs they played come back to life.
OpSoc said, “This jukebox-style show follows two sisters and their crazy journey as the older sister prepares to move out for university. She leaves her sister a mixtape filled with songs to comfort her when she’s far away.
“We are sure you’ll start to feel a part of the family by the end of the show!”
So here is a show that is about music and affection and sadness and attachment. Pure enjoyment is promised.
Performances are at The Arts Centre, Eight Acre Lane from Wednesday, 11th November to Saturday, 14th November at 7.30pm.
