Wellington Operatic Society’s autumn show, ‘LOVE’ at Wellington Arts Centre, Eight Acre Lane from 7 to 11 November, is approaching the final stages of rehearsal.
As the title suggests the show is a pastiche of music and words exploring different stages of couples’ love stories – meeting, falling in love, separating but then reconciling to make a happy, romantic finale.
The show has been devised by Kirk Shepherd who is also directing the show assisted by Dawn Morton with Cheryl Keith-Hill as choreographer. Kirk is taking on his first role as director but is an experienced and long-standing member of both Op Soc and the Pantomime Group.
The show promises of be a wholly entertaining, professional evening of familiar and popular music including solos, duets and choral numbers – with dance and words too. Audience members familiar with OpSoc’s shows know that quality is guaranteed from a cast of outstanding vocalists.
