“I am 16-years-old and am raising money for Red Nose Day by giving up my mobile phone and Ipod”. for 5 days” writes Alix Kemp.
“I am starting on the 11th of March at 12.00am and will be finishing on Red Nose day (15th March) at 11.59pm. I am planning on giving my phone and Ipod to my Mum so she can hide them from me. Then I won’t be tempted to use it.
“This will be very hard for me because I use these two every day to keep in contact with my friends as well as listening to music on my way to and from Richard Huish college, where I am studying for my A-levels.
“I feel the sacrifice will be worth it to help those in need of our support. I was originally aiming to raise £100 but with the fantastic support I have already had I have already beaten that! I have now upped my target to £200 and will hopefully beat that too with your support.
“ I have also joined Clare Balding’s Twitter Million Team. Here people on twitter are being encouraged to be a part of a collective which will be raising money that will help change lives in both Africa and the UK.
