Honiton 6 – Wellington 22
Two tries in the last ten minutes gave Wellington’s win a somewhat flattering appearance.Honiton still can’t score the tries they need to play their way out of trouble in the division, but are hard to break down.
Possession was 50-50, but Honiton didn’t seem to have the finishing touches.
Chris Kitto burst through for Wellington’s first try which Mark Nichols converted. Ben Williams added a second before the break.
George Meadows kicked a penalty for Honiton in the first half and added another in the second.
It stayed 12-3 until ten minutes before the end when Will McKegney dashed over for Wellington’s third try. The final play resulted in Wellington’s Will Brewer go over for the all-important bonus point try.
