A new documentary on the fight to protect our waterways from pollution is being given a special screening – along with a Q&A session – at the Wellesley Cinema tomorrow (Tuesday).
Jo in the Water follows a passionate sea swimmer turned reluctant activist, Exmouth-based Jo Bateman, as she takes on one of the UK’s biggest water companies in a David-and-Goliath battle to protect our waters from devastating sewage pollution.
Local film-maker Jem McCluskey – who runs Reflexeye Photography Film Aerial – was part of the team which made the documentary. He worked on first and second cameras, along with all the aerial footage.
The screening at the Wellesley is tomorrow starts at 7.30pm.
