Visitors to the newly refurbished Wellington Sports’ Centre can expect to find more than just a face-lift at Reception; an improved lobby and brand new state-of-the-art Health Suite incorporating sauna and steam rooms and shower system have also been incorporated.
The Reception area itself has been restyled in bright, welcoming and contemporary colours and features an improved desk and administration area. The staircase to the coffee lounge and fitness centre has been widened to improve access. Assistant Manger, Robb Knight, explained the benefits for customers: “Not only does the Reception area look much brighter but it helps with the flow of traffic. People don’t have to wait long to get into the Sports’ Centre now when it’s busy.”
The Health Suite next to the swimming pool is a brand new, luxurious facility and a key element of Tone Leisure’s £200,000 upgrade which was completed earlier this month. It adds another facility to the sports, fitness and recreational resources at the centre.
Further developments are to come: a ‘Fast-Track’ system is to be installed allowing regular users to ‘swipe’ themselves in.
A similar project at Taunton Pool opens to the public on Saturday 26th April.
