The Rev Tim Treanor has been appointed by the Bishop of Taunton to be Rector at St John’s, Wellington, and lead the District Team Ministry. The church has been without a priest for almost a year.
Tim is currently Assistant Curate in The Otter Vale Mission Community in Ottery St Mary, near Honiton. He is expected to be licensed in October.
“I am thrilled to be appointed as Rector of The Wellington and District Team Ministry. We are looking forward to settling into Wellington and beginning to play our part in the life of the town and nearby villages,” said Tim, a former Royal Engineer officer. He is married to Emma, who is a nurse. They have three children in their twenties.
St John’s Parish Churchwardens, Judith Dufour and Nickie Reed have said how pleased they are with this appointment and look forward to the opportunity to work with the Rev’d Tim Treanor as the new Parish Priest of St John’s.
