Somerset County Council School Admissions Team has reminded parents of children due to enter primary schools in September – that is, those born between 01/09/2014 and 31/08/2015 – that they should make an application for a place either online at http://www.somerset.gov.uk/education-learning-and-schools/choosing-a-school/apply-to-start-school or by completing a hard copy of the common application form. For a hard copy please contact the Education Helpline on 0300 123 2224. It will NOT be possible to make an application by email.
The closing date for receipt of applications for primary school places for 2019/2020 is 15th January 2019 and applying late could mean that children do not get a place at their preferred school.
