Wellington Churches Together provided a special Christmas Lunch for people who would otherwise have been on their own.
Our Mayor, Cllr Janet Lloyd, went to the United Reformed Church to thank the volunteers, speak to some of the guests and wish them all a Merry Christmas.
She said: “There was a good turnout of 17 people with about ten willing volunteers giving their time to help cook, serve the three-course lunch and clear up afterwards.
“The volunteers started their shift at 10am, giving up their time on Christmas Day for the benefit of others which is really amazing and just highlights the wonderful people who live in our town.”
