Wellington Town Council has announced there will be significant changes to our street scene over the next eight weeks.
As we reported earlier today, work has started on replacing the old and damaged street furniture on the corner of Fore Street and South Street.
The old planter and bench have been removed and will be replaced with a new bench and planter which should be installed in the next two to three weeks.
Further changes include a new bus shelter at the Coach Park, Longforth Road (pictured) which is being installed on Friday.
There will also be new fingerposts, benches and planters throughout the town and it is hoped the various projects will completed by the end of May.
The town council was awarded money from the Government’s Welcome Back fund and Somerset West and Taunton District Council’s Emergency Town Centre Recovery Fund.
