A large tree is being removed at the top end of Wellington Playing Field.
The town council reports: “If you have walked through the field, you may have noticed the tree looking quite dead and beginning to lean.
“It is due to be removed in the week commencing 21st September, with the wood being chipped up or retained for use around the town.
“Access through the field will not be affected, but we ask that people stick to the paved path at this time and keep their distance while the tree is being felled.”
