TTW’s newly established Hedge Group held their first meeting and welcomed ten members!
TTW say: “This is a great start and we hope to be doing some exciting projects in the future.
“Tom from Somerset Hedge Group: Somerset Hedge Group has invited us to come to see the Hedgelaying competition on Saturday, 28th November, where he can explain the different types of hedges and we can get a feel for what hedge maintenance is about.
“We will be using this event as our next chance to get together, so if you’d like to join in please do come along.
“Email community.ttw@gmail.com to join the WhatsApp group where we will be sharing lifts etc.
“We also have plans to Survey Britain’s hedgerows starting with the hedges in the Green Corridor using the PTES guidance.
There is a chance to perhaps help a local farmer plant a hedge this winter and we’d like to arrange another field trip to see Blackdown Hills Biochar again and possibly book a workshop.”
