Entries are trickling in very slowly for the Wellington in Bloom competition, says the group’s chair Isabel Ward. We really do need to support the future of the town in terms of its care and appearance.
The competition is open to retailers, businesses and residents in the TA21 postcode district and groups of four households/addresses [minimum] in any one street/location may still apply.
Wellington in Bloom asks for a plan of what improvements will be made, and an explanation of how the prize money will be spent. This must be within the spirit of the competition – to encourage neighbourliness and support the environment!
There will be one prize of £500. The entry must be visible to the public and not concealed in a back garden. The prize money must be spent within 12 months of winning.
Judging can be any time once the Project is finished between June and September 2013 and the Winner announced at a Presentation Evening later in 2013.
