The Cleve Hotel & Spa is planning a 26-room extension to cater for a growing demand for accommodation in the Wellington area.
Details in the planning application for the family-owned business say that the extra rooms will be aimed primarily at the leisure rather than business market.
Current building costs within the hotel industry suggest that the new investment at the Cleve is likely to cost in the region of £1.1m, excluding the costs of furnishing the new rooms.
