The Half Moon in Clayhidon, arguably the pub with the best view in the Blackdowns, has just won a Silver award in the Taste of the West awards scheme.
“It’s great to have our food recognised,” said Lynda Higgins. Her husband Dorian is head chef and a tour of the pub’s kitchen shows the couple’s commitment to fresh local produce, cooked with skill and imagination.
“We had a Silver award from Taste of the West in 2010 but haven’t entered for a couple of years, so it’s reassuring to know that our standards are still up there,” added Lynda.
