Wellington Local History & Museum Society’s regular talks return next week.
The society will be welcoming Dr Adrian Webb who will speak on the trials and tribulations of World War Two chart and map making in Taunton and Bath and preparations for D-Day.
Society chairman Mike Menhenitt: “This is sure to be a fascinating look into the top-secret world of map making and the preparations for what was to be a decisive part of the war.
“It’s sure to be very popular with everyone and we look forward to welcoming you.”
The talk takes place next Thursday, September 24th, in the Wellington Prep School Hall at 7.30 pm. Members are £3 and non-members £4.
The museum itself is at The Squirrel, 28 Fore Street, and is open Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm, and Saturday, 10am to 1pm.
