A successful Heritage Open Day took place at Wellington Monument yesterday (Wednesday) with 52 visitors climbing the steps.
“The Monument Volunteers report: “It was nearly perfect weather all day, just a bit cloudy in the morning, so lovely views.
“Thanks to all visitors who attended, for their patience while waiting and for the positive feedback comments.
“A lot of visitors went off in search of the money stump and lots enjoyed the long loop walk back to the car park. We will be looking forward to doing it all again next year.
“Also thank you to all who have supported our regular Saturday Sunday and Monday openings. We finish this season on September 28th.”
