Primary pupils on song at Wellington School

Wellington School was thrilled to welcome 350 children from 16 local primary schools to take part in its annual Come and Sing extravaganza.

Entitled Animania, the show featured a range of animal-themed favourite songs the children had been rehearsing in their own schools for months.

A culmination of hard work, meticulous organisation and excited exuberance resulted in a fabulous concert to more than 700 parents.

The afternoon’s rehearsals also featured a ‘Sing-off’ in the style of The Voice, with a representative from each school singing a snippet to a panel of judges.

A school spokesperson said: “Well done to all the schools who joined Wellington in this eagerly awaited annual fixture which gets bigger and better each year.

“A special shout-out to the two awesome sing-off soloists – Arlo from Curry Mallet and Lacey from Plymtree – just outstanding!”

Wellington School was delighted to welcome the following primary schools: Bolham, Bishops Nympton, Buckland St Mary, Culmstock, Curry Mallet, Hambridge, Kentisbeare, Milverton, Plymtree, Rockwell Green, Stockland, Tipton St John, Upottery, Wellesley Park and West Buckland.
