Wellington’s 1st XV came away from Bude’s Bencoolen Meadows on Saturday with a 15-5 victory. Wellington’s tries were scored by Ben Williams and Dan Smythe-Moore with Paddy Dean adding a conversion and a penalty.
Next week the 1st’s host Devonport Services at the Athletic Ground.
Wellington are seventh in Western Counties West with Sevices sat in 10th position.
The corresponding fixture last season resulted in a one-point win for Wellington at 20-19.
The 2nd XV travel to Yatton II’s, The Park. Wellington’s second string lost a close encounter at home to Imperial 34-40 this week..
With two defeats on the bounce the 2nd’s will be looking to gain a victory to climb up the Somerset One table.
Wellington are in 6th position while Yatton are 8th in the table.
The 3rd XV travel to Tom Stewart Field to challenge Minehead Barbarians III. This week Minehead were awarded an away walkover to Tor III. Wellington had no game.
The 3rd’s sit in 3rd position in Somerset 3 South with Minehead in 7th.
After defeating Crediton 50 points to nil the U18’s have no fixture at the time of writing. They are, however seeking a fixture.
