Local art student Gemma Scott is staging an exhibition featuring the work of artists from across Somerset and Devon, opening this weekend.
‘Beyond The Four Walls’ will be at The Old Brick Workshop, Higher Poole, from Saturday until next Friday, April 1st (10am-4pm) with a private viewing tomorrow (Friday, 6pm to 8pm).
Gemma, who lives in Wellington, is currently studying for a Foundation Degree in Fine Art at Exeter College of Art.
She said: “As part of this course, I’m organising the exhibition which will be a fantastic opportunity to see a mixture of Somerset and Devon artists as well as senior students from Wellington School.
“There will be the chance to buy pieces of artwork, or just to come and have a look.
The exhibition aims to give viewers a chance to escape ’the four walls’ and experience some art, nature, local species both in the sea and on land, landscapes and sculptures.
“It will be a must for anyone interested in conservation, coast, landscapes or wildlife!”
