The Auction of Promises in Wellington to support SURE was a huge success, with bidders and supporters packing the Old Sale Rooms as the hammer went up – and down on over 50 donated lots.
“We have raised over £2,200 for SURE (Somerset Unit for Radiotherapy Equipment, the Beacon Centre, Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton) from the sale,” reported organiser Jane Osborne.
“And the holiday accommodation for up to six people in a top resort on The Algarve didn’t reach its reserve so is still up for grabs – and worth several thousand. We want like to reach £3,000 for SURE, so please contact me if you’d like to bid – Jane 07909 544552”
