Wellington Tennis Club’s courts will be getting even busier with their match season beginning in late April.
The club will also be hosting 20 LTA tournaments which are run by club chair Sue Rackley who is an LTA referee.
The club have three teams in the West Somerset Tennis League in Division 1 and 3 mixed divisions as well as a men’s team.
Meanwhile, Sue is pictured (above) presenting men’s captain Connor Sellick with the Most Improved Cup.
She said: “Connor returned to tennis in late 2024, and immediately made a big impact at the club sessions with his enthusiastic and ability to motivate others.
“Connor was very keen to play competitive tennis and even entered some local LTA Men’s tournaments to gain more competitive experience.
“He organises Friday evening men’s tennis sessions for team players, so if you’ve played competitively in the past and are keen to play again, get in touch.
Sue added: “Due to some injuries, we are a little short on ladies for teams so do reach out if you’re keen to get back on the court.
“The club also have social tennis sessions on Tuesday and Friday mornings and evening club sessions as well.
“Non-members can join in with Cardio tennis sessions as well – Tuesday evenings and Wednesday mornings for £9.
