Wellington Tigers were on their home green this week, playing in the Exeter Over 60s Bowls League against Chardstock A, and did very well indeed.
Mike Connor, Eddie Dilley and skip Henry Richbell started slowly.
After four ends, the teams were level at two shots each but, after that, the Tigers got down to some serious bowling.
They picked up a five in the sixth and, to add insult to injury, they grabbed another five shots in the 16th.
The game ended with a very comfortable win to Wellington by 21 shots to nine.
Derek Vile, Ian Hollingsworth and skip David Beaudet were losing to begin with, 1-0 down after the first end.
But they put all their troubles behind them to win easily, 24 shots to 12, which included a cheeky five in the fourth end.
A good game was enjoyed by everyone but it was the Wellington Tigers who were the victors, winning by 45 shots to Chardstock’s 21.
